TI-USA has an active internship program for students interested in global anti-corruption issues. Internships provide a unique opportunity to learn about the workings of a global advocacy group, the legal parameters of international trade and finance, and related aspects of international development aid. Interns are an integral part of the office, performing research, providing analysis and writing, attending meetings, and monitoring congressional hearings and other public events.
Strong writing, creative problem-solving, and careful research skills are essential; a background in international affairs, communications, and/or fundraising and experience in issues of corruption and accountability are preferred. Foreign language skills are a plus.
Interns typically work between 20-40 hours a week during a 10-to-16 week internship period, and receive a modest stipend. Internships are offered during the Winter/Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.
Application Procedures:
Candidates should submit a cover letter describing their interest in the internship and availability for a full- or part-time schedule. Please provide a resume, references, and one-page writing sample. Applications may be mailed, faxed, or transmitted electronically to the TI-USA Director of Administration, with reference to the Internship Program.
